Crop shapes shield reversed

With a recent Premiere update, crop shapes started having the shield in the center (where I want the picture to show through) and the edge shows the original picture.  How do I switch them back like the should be?

Try resetting the preferences file. Go to Edit>Preferences>General tab and click the Reset Preferences on next launch button.

(I've never heard of this happening before.  If the reset doesn't work, please show us a screenshot of your Editor workspace.)

Here is a screen shot of what happens.  I can change the color (where it's black) but I can't get the cookie cutter to actually cut a picture out.
