Cursive Fonts are Broken/Gaps

Community Beginner ,

I'm not able to figure out why all of my cursive fonts are showing up disconnected in PSE15.  They work in every other program on my computer just fine.  I'm trying to make myself a new logo in PSE and want to use cursive for the name, however it looks really stupid all disconnected.  Is there any easy fix I'm completely missing?

See if resetting the pse 15 editor preferences works.

Go to Edit>Preferences>General, click on Reset Preferences on next launch and then restart the pse 15 editor.

It might be because pse 15 doesn't offer any Open Type options.

What operating system are you using?

Could you give us names of a few of the fonts that aren't working as expected?

I have PC Windows 10.  It's pretty much every single cursive font you can imagine.  I have tons since I do vinyl work as a living too.  So, some examples are Dellayla, Digory Doodles, Beloved and Amirra, to name a few.gaps.JPG

Here's the Digory Doodles font in pse 15, which seems to connect right.

Maybe resetting your Type Tool will fix the issue.

With the Type Tools options showing, click on the area highlighted below and click on Reset Tool.

I really appreciate your help, I tried resetting the type tool as suggested, but it's still not working.  See below for digory doodles.  Any other ideas?

Hello - so I am having the same problem with my Photoshop Elements 13.

I have tried both suggestions above.

When I tried to EDIT/PREFERNCES/GENERAL/RESET PREF ON NEXT LAUNCH....

I checked all the boxes shown in your screen shot & exited the program, shut off my computer, restarted, opened my PSE 13......& none of my updates were updated.

All the old settings were still checked.  I did it all again...3x & it still won’t take my reset preferences.

hummmm???  Help?

thanks
