Cursor does not change when placed inside the editing box or over tghe photo. It becomse a hand, stays a hand and has no function. I cannot insert or move text, crop or move the photo. The cursor works fine outside the editing space, but does nothing inside.

Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out.
Which version of Photoshop Elements and operating system are you using? Since when are you seeing this issue?
Did you try re-installing the application? Have you tried any troubleshooting steps so far?
Sorry. I don't know how to fix this specifically. You might try to reset preferences to default to see if that will fix it.
Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Mac: Option+Command+Shift) immediately after Photoshop Elements begins launching. Click Yes to delete the Adobe Photoshop Elements settings file.
Note: Keep a backup of the files before performing the steps.
Thanks,
Ranjisha

The cursor by itself has no defined function inside the image editing space, it plays a different part when you have selected a given tool, like the move or crop tools. Does it never work with different tools, or is it 'stuck' to the hand tool, which is normally used with the space bar?
