Elements 11 w/Windows - Sudden FONTS issue

New Here ,
Jul 14, 2024 Jul 14, 2024

Suddenly, not one of my fonts will work as intended. The spacing is wider than usual, cursive fonts too, and none of the fonts even look like they did or are supposed to (see attached)

What can I do to get my fonts to work properly once again? Thank you.

Try resetting the preferences file. Go to Edit>Preferences>General tab and click the Reset Preferences on next launch button.

What OS and version of Elements are you using?  Can you show us a screenshot of the Fonts panel?  Have you changed the Leading or Tracking setting?

Also, can you show us an exmaple of the Fall in Love font when it was working for you.  Courier New is a monospaced font that should have equal space between the letters.

And do the fonts look as you expect in other programs?

I am going to ping @Jeff Arola, another Community Expert who may be able to help you more than I can with this problem.

Perhaps a manual reset of the PSE 11 editor preferences will work.

Go to

C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\11.0

and delete the

Editor folder
