Elements 2024 Freezes

Just installed Win PSE 2024 in demo mode. The mouse cursor disappeared - I can see some menu elements being highlighted by mouse over but they are unresponsive. The whole interface in unresponsive.

It is currently converting my PSE 2021 catalog - it is recognizing faces in my videos (100 files processed out of 975). Maybe it will recover when all files will be processed.

Editor works correctly. Changed the background to dark but it is in light mode in organizer.

The Editor can become non-responsive while a lot of media analysis is taking place in the Organizer.  It should be OK after face recognition has been completed.

Thanks for the follow-up Greg ! All my media has been importe. Alas, the problem remains. My cursor is invisible and the menus elements are invisible.

When I try to save the catalog I have a console window saying (in French)

Erreur : le processus "Elements Auto Creations 2024.exe" est introuvable.

[processus terminé avec le code 128 (0x00000080)]

I am running Windows 11 Pro - and I chose a custom installation directory.

Tried a re-installation with all the default options, still the same problem.

The problem sort of auto-magically repaired itself. PSE2024 works fine now. I updated the video card driver, might have helped. My system is 5 years old, maybe my graphic card has some compatibility issues. I am also running Win 11 Insider Preview, maybe another source of compatibility.

I also installed PSE2024 on my laptop (HP bought in Jan. 2023) and it is running just fine.
