Elements 2024 keeps asking me to sign in

Neu hier ,

TIA for any assistance.

I just purchased and downloaded Elements 2024. The main reason I purchased it is because Adobe says it can be used OFFLINE once it's installed and not necessary to sign in (i.e. it's a stand alone product that can be used offline). I've entered the serial number and assumed it was activated at that point. (Apparently not tho' - my Adobe account shows I have no activated devices (using on my laptop only)).

So far, I've only tried opening the photo editor workspace it opens just fine and I did a simple crop and save on a image. Wandering around the workspace menu, I see that I'm already logged in to my Adobe account - seemingly from the enter serial # step I did. I found I was logged under the Help menu in the photo editor workspace. If I select to "sign out", I get a "Sign out" pop up which advises "signing out will deactivate Photoshop Elements 2024 on this machine until you sign in again. This will also sign you out of all other Adobe applications on this machine" (I have no other Adobe applications installed.)

I signed out and when I try to open it again, a pop up says "sign in required". If I try to x out of that, it asks if I'm sure I want to quit. Selecting "quits", opening the program again produces that same prompt to sign in.

I've restarted my system thinking that might help, but it doesn't.

So two issues: 1. I'm a bit concerned my Adobe account doesn't show this product is activated on my device, and 2., I shouldn't have to sign in to use it which directly contradicts Adobe's assurance that this program can be used offline.

After signing in, don't sign out.

You can go to your account on Adobe.com and add the serial number of your product to your registered devices.

There should be no concern about issue number 1 (no activated device).  Elements will not show up under the Activated Devices tab of your Adobe account.  All registered Elements programs will show up under the Products page of your account.

The sign in problem you are experiencing has probably been caused by you signing out of your installation.  Why did you do that?  You do not need to do that if you are offline.

In any event, take a look at this post by an Adobe Employee.  It may help you with the sign-in loop issue. If not, I suggest you try contacting Elements support. You can start a chat session by going to the Contact Adobe Support page and clicking on the chat button in the lower right corner of the page.  Make sure you are signed into your Adobe account and try typing Agent when the chat window opens.

And while Elements can be used offline, you may have to go online once in a while because Adobe needs to keep tabs on unlicensed use.

Adobe support sucks.

I have three boxes sitting here on my desk, all of them, various  versions of Adobe Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements. All have serieal numbers. Each of them has been used exatly once on different older computers. I'm trying to install ANY ONE of them on my new computer. Supposedly I'm allowed 2 installs for each version. They will install, but they WILL NOT activate. Adobe says my account is not recognized when I put it in my info in the program. Though I can access my account online. It will even let me download copies of all the versions I own. It just will NOT let me activate. It says I have no hardware with activated versions. WHY then, will it not let me run any new actavations of any of these versions????? I cannot get answers;  you cannot talk to a human here, or even a bot. Crappy customern service. Crappy.

AKTUELL

@Melinda5D2C we are getting numerous reports of this problem and I am trying to escalate the issue to the powers-that-be at Adobe.   I don't expect any response until after the weekend.  Hang in there!
