I use the places tab in Organizer 2025, which automatically maps photos based on where they were taken. However, videos don't get mapped and I have to manually add their locations. Although ExifTool shows GPS data is present in both photo and video files, Organizer only displays GPS details for photos. I've attached screenshots of the metadata panel for a photo and a video taken at the same time and place, as well as ExifTool data for both files. Has anyone else experienced issues with video file locations in Organizer? Is it a bug or by desgin?
Thanks,
Michael

I believe this is by design. AFAIK, Elements only records video GPS data in the Organizer's database file, not in the file itself. The use of metadata in video files is even less standardized than image files. So, it would not be surprising for this to be the case. You may want to ask over in the Premiere Elements forum. You may get a more definitive answer over there.
