How can I superimpose one photo onto another, so both can be seen, in Elements 14?  Thanks!

Suester,

Open the picture that you wish to select an object from to add to another picture. Let's call it A.

Use one of the selection tools, e.g. lasso tool, selection brush, to select the object. You should see an outline surrounding it when the selection is complete

Go to Edit>copy to place it on the clipboard

Open the other picture (B)

Go to Edit>paste

In the Layers palette B will be the Background layer and A will show up above B

Activate the Move tool to position A on B, and to resize if ne

Do the math and determine how much H & W you will require for the 2 pics

Go to File>new>blank file. Enter H & W, resolution 240px/in

Go to File>place and point to pic A. Do the same for pic B.

Position the pics to fill the canvas.

Can you be more explicit about what you want to do. Are you looking to have two photos side by side so that both can be seen equally?  Or one photo inset into another so that one appears on top of another?  Or perhaps one photo showing through another like a transparent ghost?
