Hi my question, is it possible to import photos from One Drive directly into PSE 2024.

. . .  It depends what you mean by import from One Drive. 

 

One Drive can synch your files with a local hard drive folder.  In that case, you can import from the One Drive folder.

Glenn and Greg are both right, Elements can't access the data on the Cloud servers of OnDrive, Dropbox, Amazon or similar, but such softwares do work by syncing a special folder on your computer, and you can manage the synced files on that folder like any other file on your internal or external drives.

The big question is what advantage you are expecting from your Cloud syncing:

- sharing for other computers or acquaintances

- having a backup solution (main or additional)

- migrating to a new computer

 

I only use OneDrive for sharing (a selection of my large catalog) and it provides an additional backup for the selected files but not for my catalogues.

 

Beware that for migrating to a new computer, it is necessary to use the recommended method of a full backup followed by a restore.
