I have both Elements and Premiere Elements 2023 installed on old pc.
Going to My Account, they are listed and the set up/s can be downloaded. However both installations fail after a few minutes and I get Error 183 and/or could not find MSVCR 120.dll ... whatever that is.
According to what I have read, because I only have these products installed on one pc then I should be able to install onto my new pc. I don't think it is necessary to log out on my old pc?
I have tried to find a way to contact Adobe directly by email but it seems that as a domestic hobby user they do not want to be contacted?
Would very much appreciate advice from the Community.
Thank you
The missing file is a Microsoft installation. See this webpage with a link to download the files from MSFT.
Another option is to download the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application. (You don't need to subscribe to any software.)
You can start a chat session with Adobe Support by clicking on this link. Make sure you are signed into your Adobe account and try typing Agent when the chat window opens. However, since Elements 2025 has just been released, support may not want to help you. (Sup

Thanks.
I have installed the Dll but still get the message 'Error 183'. Will follow up with Adobe ... hopefully

Adobe have just informed me that 2023 and earlier versions are no longer supported within the latest Windows 11. Seems I have to upgrade a product that was purchased less than 2 years ago.
Great business Adobe

That is what I suspected they would say. But to be clear, it is only Adobe support that has expired for you. Your Elements 2023 will work perfectly well on Win 11. So, let's try some other trouble-shooting. Did you install the Creative Cloud desktop application, as I suggested before?

Thanks Greg ... the way Adobe responded to my entire conversation led me to believe it just would not operate. Thanks for correcting my interpretation.
I had not tried Creative Cloud because first I wanted to update my earlier i5 (now have R7 8845HS) to the latest Windows 11. Now done and the Elements works as usual.
It is, as you say, just an install issue so I will get to check further and get back to you. Nice to have your help.

I've had a bit of time to investigate 'Cloud' but somehow to me it seems that it is only useful for subscription apps. I cannot see anywhere that I can download via Cloud my paid for apps?

Ron, downloading the Creative Cloud desktop application has nothing to do with downloading your Elements program. It was a temporary way in which certain files were required to install Elements when there were some server issues, I believe. Simply downloading the CC app allowed the installation of Elements when problems such as yours arose.
One other possible roadblock to your installation is your anti-virus or firewall software. Try turning these off while installing Elements.

Hei Greg
After a lot of 'fuffing around' over many hours, I can confirm that my two Adobe Apps are fully functional. Don't quite know why I had these issues but something must have gone amiss when I installed the .dll.
Many thanks for taking time out to assist.
Cheers
Ron

Edit ... More searching following my post below. I found the post where you said 'remove both apps otherwise Organiser remains installed'. This got me back into operation.
I should have learned that 'it ain't so easy!'
When I initially installed both Apps I was able to register my Serial Nos. Premiere Elements all good. First install of Elements 'Phot Editor' also opened BUT later I went to open the Organiser content, no progress.
So far I have uninstalled/reinstalled Elements but again it will not load to permit me to enter my Serial number.
So I am needing more advice if at all possible ... it's no use me requesting any help from Adobe. Note that I have also tried to open via the App/Run as Administrator.

First off, you don't need to enter a serial number to use the Organizer.
I'm not understanding what you mean when you say: later I went to open the Organiser content, no progress.
Please explain.

Apologies for confusion ... I think my brain is in overdrive. Suffice to say I got both installed eventually using my serials for Elements and Premiere. Agreed, no serial number needed for Organiser. Earlier, my installation retry's of Elements failed to permit opening of Organiser. Your solution, I found in another thread, was to uninstall both and then reinstall. If Premiere is not removed then the Organiser does not get removed and will not open when Elements is reinstalled.
Your assistance was invaluable
