Hi

Can you please check the UI scale factor set under preferences.

Edit -> Preferences -> Display & Cursors

There are 2 options available under dropdown for UI Scale Factor - 100% and 200%. Please check if switching to either works for you.

Thanks,

Priyanshi

Hi Priyanshi,

Actually, in PSE 2023, there are three options for UI Scale Factor.

In my Photoshop Elements 2023, both Automatic and Large settings produce the font size shown in eFFetjes post above. If I set it to Small, it becomes intolerably tiny and impossible to see the text.

Is there another workaround to setting the menu dropdown text to something between the huge Automatic/Large settings and the tiny Small setting?

Thanks in advance for possible guidance and a solution.

I also have large menu items and your option to change the UI Scale Factor doesn't have any effect. Is there another solution?

I keep getting this and don't understand why Adobe can't fix it. I can get Elements 2021 working properly, but this one not. Such a pity !!!

This is ridiculous.  I wish I never upgraded!  Adobe, you need to fix this  Its outrageous and harder to find things, believe it or not, because the menus look so big i have to scan more. FIX IT!

The drop down menu font size in the pse 2023 editor gets larger when one scales the

Windows scaling under Display>Scale and layout.

It worked !

Go to Windows Settings then, Display . Then change your PC's "Scale and Display resolution" accordingly.

This is the dumbest thing yet from Adobe. Windows has already scaled the app, and the font size is way out of proportion to the rest of the app. Why should I have to wreck the entire Windows setting to get Photoshop Elements to act right?

Please post if there is another solution.

This really is stupid! They should just have a sliding scale 100% to 200%.

Still no fix. A shame for a company like Adobe. It looks as if they don't care at all.

I've just bought both Premiere Elements and Photoshop Elements dual deal for a friend - Premiere Elements menus are fine, but Photoshot Elements menus are way too large. When will this be fixed? Photoshop suite is fine, so why the glaringly obvious bug which hasn't been fixed in Elements?

I've used the Adobe Virtual Agent to chat with an actual human being and I allowed them to remote on to my laptop to see it for themselves. Apparently, though Premiere Elements menus are fine, as it allows for 4k video editing, Photoshop Elements will not work on a 4k screen laptop (which is what I have) - at HD level, menus look ok, but at 4k, nope, large drop down menu text.

The tweak that was referenced by others to change High DPI settings is what the Adobe agent was attempting, and though the drop down menus appear ok, its left other elements within Photoshop Elements, a little larger than normal

indeed, the Adobe guy I was speaking with offered the same solution - however, that messed up tools accuracy, so I reverted to the original DPI setting.
he did suggest first to downscale my display resolution to 1920x1080, which was a silly recommendation, in my opinion.
as a result, I escalated my issue to Customer Care and I have a scheduled call for tonight.
will let you know.

Any progress?  I don't understand why Adobe can't get thus fixed. I started mentioning this problem almost a year ago and they just keep ignoring it.

I had that talk, eventually, some guy called from India.
apparently, even though I stated this a number of time, they seemed to refuse to aknowledge there was an inssue with the software itself, and also that there was a broader interest in the community to solve this. they kept asking information about my DPI settings, the DxDiag information file, the display settings and whatnot, as if there was an issue with my system, not with Photoshop.
I however sent screenshots of everything they required, and awaiting a resolution.

will keep you posted.

That doesn't help me now. I recently upgraded thinking I would get newer features and improvements.  I wish I never did.  Ironically, today I got a notice asking if I want to upgrade to the 2024 version!!!  Now, I just got 2023.  Why on earth would I pay more AGAIN to upgrade to the next version if this one is worse than what I had before?  Adobe, this is really not cool.

I don't think Adobe read any of this. I told them it's a software issue and a widespread complaint in the community, and they keep insisting it's from my system.

It is the problem of many. And a big mistake to ignore what is posted here.

I just downloaded the 2024. It it is not affected by the fonts problem surprisingly !
