My brandnew Photoshop Elements 2026 can not handle CR3 files.
A message appears that thsi file type is nos supported, although it does appear in the list of supported file types.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
Regards, Erna
It would be worth installing the Camera Raw plugin again by going to Help>Install Camera Raw.
Maybe something went wrong during the previous install.
Then after the install restart your computer.

Your camera only requires ACR 12.4 or higher- install ACR from pse
and you should be good.

According to Adobe the Canon EOS R6 requires Camera Raw 12.4 or newer and by installing Camera Raw you should have Camera Raw 17.3.1
https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html
If in Photoshop Elements you go to Help>About Plug-Ins and click on Camera Raw, what Version does it say?
Should be 17.3.1

I already tried it twice. But shutting down and re-starting my computer might be useful.
I will try and hope I fill later find this messages back.
