No previews when opening RW2 raw files

New Here ,

I'm just trying PS Elements 2018. When I go to open a .RW2 (Panasonic) raw file, I only see the black & blue Elemants logo - no image previews to make my selection.

I'm running Windows 10 and I've changed the default program for .RW2 files to PS Elements 2018 in Winows settings.

Can anyone help please?

Hi,

Have you used any previous version of Photoshop Elements?

The open dialogue that the editor uses is the standard Microsoft function and I do not believe that a codec has been issued by Microsoft to preview the RW2 files.

The suggestion is to make use of the organizer. Import the files into the organizer and you will see previews of them there. Select the one you want to edit and select Edit to load the image into the editor.

If you are new to Photoshop Elements, I suggest you have a quick look at some of the tutorials.
