I have a Dell Inspiron 24 5459 with Windows 10.  I use Photoshop Elements 14 and print to a Epson Stylus Photo 1400.  Printer is connected directly to computer. My photos have been printing fine for months.  Then I upgraded my Comcast WiFi box and my photos started printing much darker than normal.  I can't believe upgrading the Comcast box had anything to do with printing.  I didn't change any settings on computer, Elements or printer.  I have contacted Epson, they had me check the driver which is fine.  Then they had me print a photo directly from the computer (without using Elements) and it printed much lighter.  So Epson thinks there is a problem within Elements.  I'm wondering if anyone has an idea of what I should try.  Any ideas will be appreciated.

It's possible that your monitor is set too bright and needs to adjusted. Of course global monitor calibration is best.

Before doing that, however, reset PSE preferences to default. To do that, in Editor, go Edit menu>Preferences and look for this:

Preferences_2.JPG

Hopefully this will fix it.
