Hello community!

I use Photoshop Elements 2024 and have a monitor with DUHD resolution = 7680x2160 pixels. When I want to use PSE in full screen mode, the thumbnails are displayed correctly. However, when I double-click on a photo, I only see a gray frame with a question mark. If I then drag PSE to a much smaller size, the photo appears.

Does anyone have the same problem? What can I do?

Many thanks in advance!

Go to Edit>Preferences>Display & Cursors. At the bottom, one can adjust the scale factor. There is an admonition that @200% some items may be cut off.

Hello!

Many thanks for the information. Unfortunately I don't have a corresponding option in Photoshop Elements 2024, or in my German version it's called something completely different. Can you post me a screenshot of this?

Thanks again!

Thank you for the screenshot. I now also see the problem why I couldn't find the setting. I was unfortunately not specific enough about where I have the problem in the first place: In the Photoshop Elements 2024 Organizer! Sorry for the inaccuracy!

As soon as the Organizer program is wider than 5152 pixels, the actual image is no longer displayed, but a question mark in a grey area that is as large as the actual image.

A question mark icon usually means that the file is missing. This is caused by you moving, deleting or renaming the file outside of the Organizer.  However, if this is the case, a dialog would open up to find the missing file. Please post a screenshot of what you are seeing when you double-click a thumbnail in the Organizer.  Also, post a screenshot of the smaller thumbnail. If the file is missing, it will display a yellow question mark icon in a corner.

This is not a problem with disconnected files. PSE does not seem to be able to display images at a higher screen resolution width (Windows 11 Pro, NVidia Geforce 4090).

If I make the window narrower (see screenshot 1), the photo is displayed correctly. If I then make the program wider (target would be full screen in DUHD, i.e. 7680x2160 pixels), only the question display is shown - screenshot 2.
