Problem with the 'Open Closed Eyes' Function

New Here ,
Nov 19, 2018 Nov 19, 2018

Hello there

Very frustrated to say that I can get this function to perform satisfactorily.

To be exact, when the eyes are copied over from another photo, it adds a very obvious white ring around the eyes. It looks terrible.

I've tried many photos, and every time I'm left with a white ring.

I've also tried darkening the copy photo but that doesn't work either.

I've watched the tutorial, and I can see that only the eyeball is copied over and not the surrounding area.

Any help really appreciated ?

Cheers

P

Work on a duplicate layer (Ctrl+J)

You can then add a layer mask and brush with the color set to black.

This enables you to eliminate the halos by brushing around the eye surrounds to reveal the original face on the layer below. See this YouTube video tutorial.
