Hello
I have installed PSE 21 on two computers: one with W10 and got no issue. I reconnected my catolog and all runs fine.
Doing the same on my portable PC (under W11) I face a pretty bad situation when runnig "Organizer" : after having reconnected my catalog, the upper line menu (file ...) is not operable, as well as the "sorting" button (when pressed, it gets grey and nothing happens). However all the rest of the functions runs fine. By the way, the "editor" part runs fine . I have reinstalled a few times, used a small set of photos to created a new very small catalog. Whatever I do, I face the same issue. And with no acces to rhe menu I cannot chek and change préferences .. I let the programs run a long time but no change.
Actually I faced the same issue with PSE 19.0 on that PC (W11) and I expected that with 21.0 the problem would have been solved
As anyone faced the same problem
Regards
Alain
Thanks for reporting back. I suspected that a reboot might be required but since I have never had this problem, I didn't know for sure.

To complete the post ... The PSE 19 version was running fine on a portable (W10) until I moved to a new one with W 11.
The problem described above started from day one and I could not use Organizer anymore. Upgrading to PSE 21 makes no change.

What is the resolution of your laptop monitor?
Do you have the taskbar set to auto-hide? If so turn that setting off. (Right-click on the taskbar and choose Taskbar settings from the context menu)

Try clicking on the Windows Maximize/Restore button (and resizing the window if necessary).

To complete the above response, on the desktop (W10) with "Organizer" the window resize button works identically as on the laptop (W11) : i.e the resize does nothing: the window's size remains full screen . And no handle to minimize. However with the "Editor" window resizing works on both

Sorry, Alain, my earlier screenshot may have been misleading. The maximize/restore button needs to be in the following condition:
If you still don't seen the resize handles, click on the dark menu bar and drag the window down and/or to the side a little. the resize handles should then be available.

Hi Greg, having worked for over 42 years in IT (since the very first computers back in 1963) , I know that mysterious things have always an explanation . Good news, this morning things work fine on the laptop. Explanation level one :
The auto hide task bar was indeed the culprit, but I did not restart the computer after the change. I done the test: when set to auto hide : problem with Organizer, when set to Fixed no problem BUT a computer restart is required for Organizer to change behaviour. Now the level two of the explantion is for th Adobe staff to findout were the bug lies ...
Thanks a lot for your help. And this issue must be publicized to the community
Regards
Alain

And by the way it is the same on my Desktop under W10: The auto hide setting is uncompatible with Organizer.
