I've found that the best tool in Elements to remove a color cast is the Levels tool. Here is a quick example of a photo taken through a bus window. In a Levels Adjustment layer, using the grey eye-dropper and clicking on a neutral grey color in the photo is all that was needed.
Of course, taking out the window's reflection is a little more difficult. 8)

After seeing that I messed up the straightening of the previous photo, I tried another bus window image and simply used the Auto button in the Levels dialog.
