Resizing an image to print out as a poster

I have a photo of some artwork that is 1.72MB, 180dpi, and 1536 pixels wide by 2048 pixels high.

I have to submit it to an exhibition where it will be printed out poster size - the organisers have asked for a canvas size of 100cm tall by 75cm wide at 300dpi.

I have got Photoshop Elements 15. I went to Image - Resize - Canvas Size. I changed the dimensions to 100cm high by 75cm wide. But how do I get the dpi to be 300?

Go to Image>resize>image size

In the dialog, enter the proposed dimensions & 300px/in for resolution. Check "Constrain proportions" & "Resample Image". In the drop-down, select "Bicubic Smoother".

Another way is to activate the crop tool. On the tool's option bar, you can enter the dimensions and the resolution. This tool will resample as well.
