Resizing & maintaining control over cropping in PE 15

I have just upgraded from PE 3.0 to PE 15.  I need to be able to reformat my images to various sizes &

maintain control over how the image is cropped.

In PE 3.0, I go to Image, Transform, Free Transform.  Then Resize, Canvas, Canvas Resize.  Once I have the

proper canvas size, I go to Transform & am able to crop the entire original image to the canvas size as I see

fit.

How do I do this in PE 15?  All it wants to do is crop the image for me (incorrectly, of course) & doesn't

allow me the ability to determine the cropping.  I absolutely have to have this function in my business.

Why not use the crop tool? On the tool's option bar you can enter the dimensions (H&W) and the resolution.
