Saved printer Info not compatible

New Here ,

When trying to print in photoshop 13 a message comes up that 'The saved printer info is not compatible with this version of PE 13, or the saved printer is no longer available. You will need to check your printer settings before printing.' I have been using the same printer for a couple years and now it seems the settings aren't correct. Help!! Tried an update with no results.

Are you able to print despite the message?  Does the problem exist in both the Editor and the Organizer?

Try resetting the Editor's preferences file. Go to Edit>Preferences>General tab and click the Reset Preferences on next launch button.  If that doesn't work, try reinstalling the printer driver from your printer's manufacturer.

This should be the only accepted response:

Windows users:

open the Start menu, search for "Services", open the Services app, then find "Print Spooler" in the list, right-click on it, and select "Restart" from the menu

Mac users it is similar

  • On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Printers & Scanners in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)

  • Control-click the printer in the Printers list on the right, then choose Reset Printing System.

This assumes you do have a printer installed.
