My students on Photoshop elements 15 can't find a way to stop the auto downloading function.  It grabs all images on their computers!

Help!

I think that they are misled by the new 'Bulk' import dialog when they open a new catalog. The are greeted by a dialog offering them to import all the media in theidr computers. If they don't want to do that, they should look at the bottom right of that window: there is a 'skip' in small letters in the bottom right corner of the window. They should 'skip' and use the normal 'Import' menu to choose the way they have to import.

In my view, that 'bulk' import was required by users coming from other softwares like Picasa; you should think twice before using that feature.

In addition to the steps mentioned above, you can also check the option selected for download from Watch Folders.

For this, please go to File > Watch Folders , there you will see an option to choose the action to be taken when new files are found in watched folders.

In case the option checked is Automatically add files to Elements Organizer, please choose Notify Me instead.

Thanks,
Anwesha
