I have just purchased and downloaded Adobe Photoshop Elements 15 from the Microsoft Store. It seems to have installed ok - i.e. I can access it through the icon on the taskbar, but am unable to access it through Lightroom both as external editor ("Photoshop" is there (greyed out) , but not Elements 15 as is supposed to be. Also in external editor Photoshop Elements is not available.
When I search for "Adobe Photoshop Elements 15" on my hard drive it comes up with "No items match your search" ???
I have spent over two very frustrating hours updating Lightroom, andre-installed Elements 15 numerous times but with no results whatsoever.
I also tried to follow the instructions in 'Edit In Photoshop' command missing " but when the Lr update did not work, I looked at "Solution 2: Re-create the Photoshop.exe application path registry key." but decided this was too risky for a non-techie like me
The "Contact us" option where I am supposed to get "real help from real people was another time-wasting source of frustration and confusion - no such luck there - just corporate window dressing.
I desperately need Elements to fix photos for an International Photo competition so am just totally frustrated. Is there a fix? And one that does not require an IT expert to resolve?
I'd really appreciate some help here

Hi Henk,
Apologies for the inconvenience you've faced..
As a workaround, I suggest you to download and install the free trial version of PSE 15 from Download Photoshop Elements | 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10 . It should be accessible to LR.
Note: It would co-exist with your Windows App store version of PSE.
Thanks,
Arshla

Am i right, if i use the trial-Version of PSE 15 the problem is solved for anytime? What about the fact that it is a 30 day trial-version? What happend after 30 Days? The trial-version is at his end and the Bug is back?

Hi,
LR would work well with the PSE version bought from Adobe site. So yes, you can use trial version of PSE 15.
After 30 days, you would need to purchase the licence for PSE to continue using it post its free-trial expiry period. This is not a bug as the application needs activation to open.
Once you activate it, it would continue working like before.
Thanks,
Arshla

Merhaba Henk,
Not: PSE'nin Windows App Store sürümünüzle birlikte bulunabilir.

Thanks very much Arshla, I spent another 2.5 hrs with an MS techie this morning who confirmed my suspicion that MS downloads PSE15 as a stand alone App - which effectively denies Ler from accessing it as an external editor. This is a big trap for any Lr user who purchases PSE15 from the MS Store.
As a consequence I immediately received a refund from MS once it was identified that there was a genuine problem on their side, and we removed PSE15 from my PC.
I will download PSE15 from Adobe shortly - and expect all will go smoothly
Thanks for your kind assistance
Henk
