Having purchased a new computer, I went to download PSE 2020 onto it. This is already installed on my other computer, so this is the second download using the Adobe installer (2.38MB) which I transferred from the old computer.
When trying to do so I get the message ' Your browser or operating system is no longer supported. You may need to install the latest updates to your op. system.'
Have checked Windows 11 and everything is up-to-date.
The Browser I am using is Microsoft Edge.
Thank you.
It offers stuff for subscription: You don't have to subscribe to any of it.
Just install from the link bob provided, and forget about it- your problem will go away.
Should I click the trial period button and ignore it for evermore or willPSE 2020 stop working after 30 days ?
By @Veermer
Start the trial. When it opens, go to Help > Sign in from the editor menu and then enter your serial number.
If you need help finding your serial number, see here:
https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/find-serial-number.html
If you don't enter your serial number, the trial will expire in 30 days.
Click on License This Software.
To answer specifically: the software will NOT automatically pick up your serial from your account, and it WILL expire at the end of the trial period. You have to find a way to enter it. It seems to me you need to click on LICENSE THIS SOFTWARE as was already suggested. Did you? If not, why not?

You may need to install the Creative Cloud application before installing Photoshop Elements:

I had to install it to be able to install PSE 2018 on Windows 10.

Are you signing out when you are done using it?
If so, don't.
When you go to Help, does it give you the option to sign out? If so, then you are already signed in and don't need to do more.

Hi Peru Bob
I signed out so I could sign in to see if there was anything useful I could
take a screen shot of.
When I'm signed in and opened PSE I clicked on Photo Editor.
Adobe comes up saying 'your trial ends in 28 days with a button to continue
the trial, I clicked the x button (top right}, up comes another page saying
'are you sure you want to quit. I clicked yes.
I could then continue to use the Photo Editor without a problem.
My only concern is when the 'trial' ends will I still be able to carry on
using PSE ?
I am possibly going to upgrade to PSE 2022, but will I again have the same
problem (probably an unfair question for you to answer) !
Hopefully this is the answer, and if so, how do I thank you on this site.

I'd really like to see a screenshot of your whole monitor screen when that message appears.
If you don't want to post it here, send me a PM.

In that case, you would be able to contact Adobe support and they will be able to help you.

Sorry, I was confused by needing a licence number and serial number (I don't take a lot of confusing with this tech stuff.
I have clicked the right button and the trial period window has now disappeared,so everything seems to be alright.
I thank everyone who contribulated to sorting this out especially Peru Bob for his patience. Is there any button I can press to register how many thanks you get ?
