Upgrade from Photoshop Element 6 to new version

So, I was neglectfull...  I have been working with Photoshop Element 6 and wanted to install it on my new computer, only to find out that v.6 is not supported by Windows 10.  Having invsted a lot of time in my library of thousands of pictures, I would like to know if, once I buy v.15 and install it, if it will recognise my files from v.6.  can anyone help me out?
