Have there been any improvements for the Auto Tone Feature?

My advice is not to use anything that says auto.

What exactly needs improvement.

I am not a professional video editor or colorist.  I find the Auto Tone feature to be a very good starting point.  Why would Adobe add this feature if it didn't think it was useful?

What do you mean "What needs to be improved?"  Don't you think Adobe wants to make Auto Tone more effective?
