Some of them almost look the same.

Can hardly call the bottom one yellow.

I think this is a bad move.

I do like the check box for the color used.

I hear you @Ann Bens. The current default colors are not yet final and we're working to improve them. I think as they stand they look pretty good on clips with audio waveforms where the waveform gets a lighter color generated to go with the background, but that doesn't help in other areas like the Project panel or video-only clips. Keep an eye out for updated Default colors.

That Classic preset is just the same colors we had before 🙂

I saw your announcement on Facebook, but on a Mac it looks better as the background is light gray as windows is white.
