Enhance speech is automatically applied to clips and its ruining my workflow and messing up my mixes. How do I turn it off across the board?

You can turn off auto audio tagging in the Preferences.

This is correct, but auto-tagging shouldn't be applying Enhance Speech automatically. The only thing that auto-tagging does is sets a tag to the clip, but it doesn't apply effects unless the user activates them.

Hi! Enhance Speech doesn't get applied automatically. You need to press on the Enhance button to apply the process. Could you send us a video where it shows the auto apply of the effect? If this is getting applied automatically you might be hitting a bug. In additon to the video could you send us the version of Premiere and machine specs? Thanks!

Hi, I have the same problem since I started using enhanced speech but If I cut part of the clip, the computer stops responding.

I have a similar problem: I "enabled enhance speech", found it produced garbled syllables, and tried to disable it. No luck. No matter how many times I click on "disable enhance speech" nothing changes. I've gone to Creative Cloud and removed the Enhanced Speec add on. No change. I reinstalled it. No Change. I've rebooted and reinstalled video drivers. No change.
Note: I implemented enhanced speech on two other videos with the same unusable results then disabled it without problems. There is nothing discernably different about the clips on the troubled video.
Hardware: 5 month old Thinkpad P1, i9, 96GB, 4TB SSD, Nvidia 4090 w/16GB, Win 11 Pro, all software updated to latest versions.

I'm having the same issues. No matter how often I disable the "enhanced speech," it turns on.

My solution was to uninstall it from Creative Cloud, Apps > Premiere Pro > ... > Get Add-ins > Unintsall; then reboot, brought up PP fast, copied the sequence to a new project, then saved it fast, then checked. Nothing Enhanced. New Project worked long enough to make other edits and create finished MP4. I checked again a couple days later, "Enhanced Speech" had been re-enabled and the project was FUBAR. I've done 3 projects since, and only needed ambient sound options. I've no idea how/what happened.

Por favor , mandem esse problema para o desenvolvimento da Adobe e atuaizem isso !

I don't know what the exact solution is, but I don't have any more problems with auto-transcribe so far. Most of my editing work is in Japanese, but I changed the auto-transcribe language to English for one product, then switched it back to Japanese when I was done. After several reboots, I turned off auto-transcribe and everything went back to normal.
