Premiere Pro Beta - lots of updates

Curiosity, not complaint...

It seems like this past week or so, every time I open Premiere Pro Beta there's another update. I think I've had 4 in a week, but even in the what's new window, it only sometimes says what's actually new. I'm all for fixing little bugs or whatever when it's not a feature release, but this kind of feels like a lot.

Has the beta had problems that I haven't noticed yet? Anyone else see anything similar?

Glad to have the new features though - new audio capabilities are great, thanks!

The beta tends to get daily updates that either are fixing some bugs here and there or introducing a new feature. It seems like the former is more consistent than the latter.

I don't have an answer, but I've been wondering exactly the same...! Haven't had any problems, but have been receiving the same almost daily update notification. But yay for the new features yes! 🙂

The public Beta is intended to be a daily release. Each day our software developers check in new code, improvements, or fixes to Premiere Pro's code. At the end of the day a new build is created and goes through multiple rounds of automated testing. If it passes those, it is available the next day as an update in Creative Cloud. On days where there isn't a new build, that usually means a problem was discovered and so that day's build wasn't released.

Each day's build has many changes in it, but they don't always warrant a note in the What's New in Beta box.

It is absolutely a pain in the @*& ... it seems to screw up the workflow from previous days. I leave my project open over night as it is a huge one and the next day there is lag, I can't move assets around - SO FRUSTRATING. It is fixed once it is updated but I am seriously thinking of switching editing software now. Is this going to be what it is like moving forward? If it is, then bye bye Premiere (after editing with it for  over 10 years)

I've had a few times where the Beta version had a hiccup, but usually it seems fairly stable. I've reached out on the forums when I found an issue and someone from Adobe saw it, responded, and got a fix in the works. I totally get that frustration, I've felt it a lot when I'm under a deadline and things aren't going smoothly. Usually I open up the same project in PR non-beta and it fixes most of it.

It must be a fine line between what is in "What's new" and sharing every detail and change with the community. I've had edits that were under the gun and felt like "I hope they don't look too closely at this part, cause I'll fix it in the next revision". No one's perfect, no project or product is perfect, and it's all a work in progress. It's great when Adobe is able to say what's been fixed in the updates, even if it's just have it in the discussions, or in threads that address specific issues saying " X.XX version fixed this".

Anyhow - thanks for the innovation, letting us be a part of the Beta program, and for listening to the users and responding as well as you do.
