i'm working on a video montage in premiere, but for a few days now the audio has been crashing, continuing to show me the error ‘can't access audio: the audio can't be read quickly enough from storage. please check your storage and try again.’
what should i do?

I'm currently experiencing the same issue. 😞
It must be the new update — the only solution is to downgrade to an earlier version.

Same issue with me, it tells me to please check storage and try again but I have well over 500GB free storage. It's super annoying, I feel like everything you get into a flow in editing something always ends up stopping it. Please fix this Adobe!!

I can still edit fine, but this error seems to be associated with an occasional audio drop out I've had for years when working with my footage (4K 30fps ProRes 422 + 6 channel PCM audio) even though my SSD way more than fast enough to handle the files. The audio drops out for a few seconds and returns. It's an annoyance but I can just go back and replay it and it works fine. It only happens maybe once every few hours for me.

Hey all! This is Adolfo from Adobe. The team is looking into it right now. Really want to appreciate the feedback, and I'll keep this thread updated.
To help us invesitgate even more, I created a quick survey to help us capture more details about the specifics of what you are all experiencing. If you all have time, I will really appreciate the help. Here is the link: https://forms.office.com/r/WXYQe1gDtB

This should be fixed in the 25.2.3 update for Premiere rolling out now over the next few days: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/kb/fixed-issues.html

Un-toggling my proxies fixed the issue for me for some reason!!

Hi I'm getting this error, intermittently. My storage is on nvme SSD and the media cache is on my internal drive, so I can't imagine that's actually what the problem is. I've tried emptying the media cache but that didn't help.
Seems to be ok for the audio from my camera (.MOV), but not from the separate synched version from the mic (.WAV)
MacMini M1 2020
MacOS 15.3.1
Adobe Premiere Pro (Beta) Version 25.2.0 BETA (Build 115)
Can you fix it please?

I've moved the media cache to a new folder and it seems to be working again (for now). But that doesn't feel like a fix, just a temporary stop-gap solution. I'd still like to know what's going on and why, so it won't happen again when I'm up against a deadline!

It's also happening on a brand new MacStudio M3 Ultra. Even if the sound is saved locally on the internal SSD, which is the fastest ever 😉

I changed back to a 25.1 and won't go back until this shitshow is resolved.

Any news or update on this? I'm still using version 25.2.1 on mac, I get the error at least once in every project I'm working on.
Macbook Pro M3 Max, 128GB Ram, 4TB storage
I see there's an update for 25.2.3, but without any update from the team that it's been fixed, I'm hesitant to update
