It seems completely random to me. I press Esc saying (usually out loud) "No! I don't want you to close!" and the popup disappears then immediately reappears again.
I'm forced to say YES save everything
Then it closes and I immediately relaunch.
No warning like I'm used to about a crash or bug or any issue / flag in the bottom right corner.
