If I'm foolish enough to export something using the new, utterly pointless, export workflow with a timecode overlay, and set it to use the media file's timecode, it ignores me and always starts the timecode at 00:00:00:00. If I add a negative timecode offset, it generates very unpredicatble results. Thankfully, exporting using Media Encoder, still works properly.

Yeah you're right, that's not very satisfying. In fact, it uses always the start timecode of the sequence and not from the source file. If you set the start time of the sequence to the one of the source clip, then the exported file has the correct overlay.
But yeah, it is definetely a bug.

Hi,
this should be fixed with the builds from 22.1x110 on upwards. The media file timecode will be honored for exports of media from project panel. From the sequence, the sequence TC will be handled. It will behave the same as the old dialog did.

How would you suggest the situation where you need to hand-on the clips to someone in another app, and you want to get the sequence clips with their proper clip timecode and in/out points still listed in the export? As you might need effects applied to the clips in-sequence.
