Colour changing stills

We process our pictures in Lightroom and Photoshop. We recently did a timelapse then stitched the pictures together in Photoshop. The MP4 file was then imported into Premier Rush to add a title, music etc. We added in at the end a still which was the last frame in the original timelapse and it is a completely different colour. This happens with every still that we import into Rush - any thoughts? The stills are fine when viewed on the computer, uploaded from the desktop into Flickr or Instagram (when viewed through a browser).

Hi @Kerenworm,

I read your message. It likely depends on the color space you are processing them in these other applications. Try Rec. 709 color when exporting stills from other applications. Otherwise, import and manipulate the images directly in the app. Hope the advice helps.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for the tip. It appears the issue is Lightroom - I can't find a way to change to Rec.709 in there. If I export directly from LR - green cast. If I send to Photoshop then export (I have changed the export to Rec.709) all is well.

Do you know if LR is going to get Rec.709?

Hi Karen,

Here's a discussion that may hold a solution. I'd be curious about the proper export workflow from Lightroom to Rush and Premiere Pro. Rush has no color management features; however, Premiere Pro does. When I get a moment, I'll also develop a workflow and share it. I'm sure it is possible! Sorry for the frustration.

Thanks,
Kevin
