I use Rush with an external SSD on two computers, and occasionally on my iPad. My media files are mostly on this SSD, but when I work on the iPad the media is sometimes stored on iCloud. Last month, I started getting duplicate projects in my project list that's saved to Adobe's cloud. It seems to have grown exponentially. For a while, every time I used Rush, several projects would be duplicated, but they contain nothing. It only seemed to do this for about 4 or 5 projects I did last month. I probably have several hundred, and possibly over a thousand duplicate empty projects now. It wouldn't be an issue except is takes longer to load initially, and it's sometimes difficult to find the original project. When I do find the original, I rename it to indicate that it is the good version with content. This program behavior doesn't happen with new project I create now.
I tried chatting with support, but that was a complete waste of time. Their recommendation was for me to just delete the duplicates. I've tried deleting each project individually, but even on a newer Mac Studio it takes about 10 seconds to delete a project that's in the cloud. It would take days or weeks to complete this task. I searched for a solution but didn't see anything about this issue.
The way I see it, Adobe has launched a product that was bug-ridden, has minimal functionality and lacks any ability to handle repetitive or global tasks, such as multiple delete where I select a checkbox next to each project and then hit DELETE.
Is there an easier way to remove all these duplicate projects?
Yes, I read your issue and understand.
I see this as an issue related to the removal of sync on February 1, 2024. If you didn't back up the projects to all devices by that time, Rush cannot link to the files. Sorry for the frustration. You might want to check your computer and then launch Rush to see if the "missing" projects are still there.
Thanks,
Kevin
Hey there, @BenSheppard123,
Thanks for the message. Do you have OneDrive or another file backup system connected to Rush? That might be the problem. Take a look and report back. I hope the community can help.
Thanks,
Kevin

That's right, the empty files only appear when you have an internet connection.
When I turn this off I only see the good files.

Unfortunately, this has nothing to do with the removal of sync. I first encountered this issue back in 2022.

Ah, I see @artichoked. Thanks for the message. It might be related to some other cloud service, then. Are you connected to iCloud, OneDrive, or any other cloud-based service for backing up files? Are Rush files being synced there? If so, that could be the root of the problem.
I hope I can help you solve this by troubleshooting your cloud service or getting the product team to find a fix. I appreciate the feedback.
Thanks,
Kevin

I use Dropbox but that doesn't touch anything having to do with Adobe Rush. I believe it was an issue with Creative Cloud sync.

Having same problem for the second time here in Sweden. This time duplicated all my projects in Rush on Mac Venture 13.1.1 24 times. It is gonna take its time to delete all. Very frustrating and chat support does not seem to help. Interesting to read that it has been going on for years and still not fixed.

Hola @Klinta-Lisa,
It's a problem if you have any cloud services except Adobe connected to your Mac, such as iCloud or DropBox. Are either of those switched on? Let us know.
Thanks,
Kevin

I'm experiencing an issue on Rush, my files seem to duplicate every time I open the app leaving me with an incredibly

frustrating preview whereby finding the file you need is a nightmare, could anyone advise? I've attached the screen grab.

Hey Kevin, thank you for your reply, I don't have any other cloud system backing it up, I have checked iCloud and it doesn't seem to be connected. Do you have any other ideas?

Are your video clips saved by iCloud or touched by the Photos app, @BenSheppard123?
Cheers,
Kevin

I have the exact same issue, seems crazy we pay all this money to Adobe, it's been going on for years and no fix. Turn off the Internet connection and all the duplicates disappear, everytime I open it connected to the Internet more duplicates appear.
My Adobe files are separate from all other cloud services and it seems crazy to say you can only use one cloud service, Adobe, how the hell is that a fix? Am I expected to run Rush with the internet off?
Surely there is a bulk delete option in the pipeline?

Hello @Rou38159373vlns,
I read your note. Welcome to the forum.

Rush no longer needs to be connected to the internet as file sync has been removed. See,
Creative Cloud Synced files End of life for Premiere Rush. The anomaly you are experiencing is related to the removal of the feature.

I don't know why other file-syncing services interfere with Rush operations. That would be a question for our developers. I hope they will reply here.
Sorry for the frustration.
Thanks,
Kevin
