Hi @oftana418 & @adrianulander,

I read your messages. Sorry for the pain points. I have a feeling your issue is related to the following: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-rush/kb/creative-cloud-files-end-of-life-for-premiere-rush.html. Please let the community know if you have further questions.

Thanks,
Kevin

I get this too, since like a week back or so. I'll oftentimes be able to create new projects even though it says I lack connectivity (I have both wifi and 5g, obviously good enough to come here and complain). Upon launch today, I was logged out for some reason and now Adobe seams to finally have succeeded in implementing that bug so that the app is totally useless! First, they remove cloud services for the one app where it's useful, then they ruin the app altogether. Brilliant, just brillant! Gah!

H, Kevin.

You replied to me in another thread - and i, on turn, replied to you.

No, the discontinuation of sync is indeed highly unwelcome. (The one and only app I used it for, and I can't helped but wonder, WHY!?.)

However.,  the issue @oftana418 described and the addition made by myself are not explained by the Discontinuation. As this has already taken place, it's senseless to 1. say that it's a connectivity issue (especially if connectivity is flawless) when it's really just the senseless Discontinuation that's rubbed in our faces even after it's taken place!? Sync is ni longer part of anyone's equation, so why bring that up at all??

What I added to the list of ridiculousness wad that, despite having multiple working internet connections, the app says I don't. This has been the case more often than not lately, most of the time I'll just shake it off like mad talking from some stranger on the subway, because it usually means exactly nothing. If I'm told I lack connectivity (false), that this affects sync (false bc WHAT sync) and that I can't create new projects (false)  - that's obviously upsetting. Of course!? But what's really upsetting is when one day (yesterday), I lack connectivity (false) and. can't create anything new because of that faulty statement.

my suggestion ia: Get to your senses and bring sync back. If you persist in making the experience/product inferior - then at the very least, stop adding completely arbitrary error messages to that!

There, I hope I made myself more clear now.

thanks,

Adrian

Hello @adrianulander,

Thanks for the response. I did try to answer your other post. I hope that was helpful.

I cannot answer why sync was removed. Sorry about that. I hope I can get the product team to respond. As the moderator, I don't have the authority to field such questions.

As a Rush user, I am also upset at the loss of sync in Rush. I used it all the time for personal projects. I also brought many of them into Premiere Pro, another cool feature.

Thanks for that. I think I get your point (and I agree with you, if so). @oftana418's issue is that Rush is not providing a more useful error dialog box. The error it is currently giving is not correct. Would you say that's more on target?

quoteMy suggestion is: bring sync back.

Thanks for the request. I would love it if that were the case. I fully support bringing sync back. However, once Adobe removes a feature, it does not return. Adobe usually has other plans for new features, apps, and services.

OK, I will let the team know. Having all these nonsense messages you have to wade through is annoying. It's unacceptable. Thanks for bringing this up.

Cheers,
Kevin

Surely, Premier Pro is superior to rush. But as a still photographer, I appreciated the simplicity of Rush and especially being able to use it on the fly (and continue on another device, when I felt like doing so).

Rush really isn't very impressive in any orher aspects, it's been full of various bugs ever since I first started using it and there's seemingly no end to the deterioration either.

Garageband/imovie/hundreds of apps offer better quality  and function at no or a low (one-time) cost.

What I'm saying is that since the only app I really need is PS, it's becoming more and more indefensible to subscribe to CC All apps when an already bad deal just keeps getting worse., with what seems like total disregard from Adobe's side towards their users. Rush has been neglected, without any exaggeration, and I believe every user knows what I mean, even if they don't agree in full.

a dealbreaker to round things up.

Thanks for your time, Kevin. With all due respect, if Adobe in fact don't pay you for your time, I humbly suggest you spend it on something else until they get some decency and do.

Peace!

Adrian

Hello @adrianulander,

Thank you for sharing your comments. I share your frustration with the recent pains Rush users are experiencing.

I'm not sure what is on Rush's horizon, but I see Adobe Express starting to venture into the video editing realm with the Online Video Editor. Adobe Research has Project Violet on the app store, too. Check those out.

It seems that engineering for both the Adobe Digital Video and Audio & Adobe research teams has things brewing around mobile video editing. I'm hopeful that mobile video editing will be given a significant boost with these kinds of efforts.

I am a full-time employee of Adobe. I like to use all the apps, but I have the luxury of a complimentary subscription (pretty lucky!). I have been moderating these forums for fourteen years. Let me know if you have any other questions or comments.

Thank You!
Kevin

Hi,

I was using Rush for just my short vids, i.e., vacations and vertical shorts for posting on socials; Rush was perfect for short, quick, no need to think through the program.

It's great that Premiere does the sync, etc., but I'm an FCPX user, so that wouldn't be an option. I may as well just keep using FCPX and move away from Rush entirely, which is a shame that was a perfect thing to use especially for those of us that use GoPro's as another way to record vids and needed a quick and easy way to do quick simple edits and post asap.

I use Rush the same way. I still use it, but sync was a valuable part of the app. It is possible to work around that issue by moving the files manually. Pretty cool. Let me know if you want info on that.

Whatever works best for you, @oftana418 is fine with us. We'll be here to help you if you need it.

Take Care,

That would be a workaround for now. My question though is how do I get the vids off my desktop so I can have it on my iPad?

Ah, I see, @oftana418. You wish to do the opposite of what others have been asking. To be honest, I am not sure at this point. I can ask the team for you. Let me know.

Thanks,

Kevin

Well, I know it'll take Adobe to figure out what they're going to do, that being said, I need to figure out how to get my stuff off of my mac so that I can transfer to my iPad so I can continue working on it on the go, until Adobe can figure out what they want to do with Rush.
