Premiere Rush not importing image transparency

New Here ,
Sep 04, 2023 Sep 04, 2023

When I import transparent images into Adobe Premiere Rush, they are not transparent. They maintain the transparent grid in overlay.

I have the latest version of the app and am on an IPhone 14 Pro Max.

I am seeing this issue as well. I have a graphic I juse made in Adobe Illustrator. I exported it as a PNG with a transparent background and have confirmed that it is indeed transparent after export. I import the PNG into Rush and what should be transparent is black

That sounds like expected behavior. Sorry for the frustration, @elizabeths61297746.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi @sircm46375663,

Thanks for the question. Sounds like you are having trouble with transparency and some of your still images. What is the format of the images? Have you verified if they have transparency in other applications? Let us know. Sorry for the frustration!

Thanks,
Kevin

I discovered this is how they appear when initially added because they are in the wrong section of the timeline. If added to the end of the video the transparency appears black, but when moved a row above, so that it is superimposed on the video, the transparency displays correctly.

I am having a similar issue. I save a transparent png in Canva. I import into P.Rush and the background is not transparent when it's an overlay. The background is still white and visible. How do I fix this?

Hi Kevin

I am in trouble because I moved files I edited on a project elsewere on a different external HD. Rush does not recognize and is there any chances to get back or syncronize automatically to re- abilitate the project as I builted the day before moving the files? Thank you
