Request to add more approved devices

Hello all.

Long story short, I would like the minimum requirements for Premiere Rush to be based on hardware/software specs -not a small list of specific supported models.

Play Store tells me my device (Samsung Tab A8) is unsupported. When I looked at the minimum requirements, though, instead of specs, there were only specific approved make/models. My device meets the hardware specs (one approved device is the Pixel 1) and is not an obscure brand (other Samsungs are supported).

I raised a ticket with Support (# E-001137987), who told me the listed requirements were final -but to contact Adobe Enterprise Support, whose engineers had the power to make such changes. I finally received a reply from EntSupp today, who only sent me to the Wish Forms -which sent me to this forum.

We can all be wrong, so let me know if I'm missing something or approaching this from the wrong angle.

I understand that making changes within such a large company can be difficult; however, I don't feel that my request is illogical or far-fetched, so I remain hopeful.

Thank you for reading.

Hi @It's Nate,

Thanks for the response. Others have already established your feature request before you. I will add your post to the bug. I'm unsure why Enterprise Support pointed you to "wishform," which is incorrect. This forum is the proper place to enter a feature request. I will do my best to advocate for updated devices to be added to system requirements. However, it's up to the developers to implement it. I am not on the product team; I'm in support. Sorry, I couldn't be more helpful.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is the next step?

As a support person, does that mean you will forward this on internally? Or should I should I pursue this with ECS again? ...I just can't help but feel that posting my request to such a vast forum is kinda the end of the road. :motorway:

Thank you, I really appreciate your response. Apologies also for the unintentional repost (I did do a quick search before posting, but clearly not deep enough).

I will also reply to ECS again a final time. Their response was in broken english, so a part of me naively wonders if my request (or the translated response?) was unclear.

Regardless, I'm aware that changes like this can be hard to implement properly, but some simple workarounds may not (for example, tying minimum Android requirements to the OS version -which itself has hardware requirements.).

Thanks again, Kevin. I appreciate your time.

No worries. It is a top ten request, I am sure of it. The team knows about it.

It's probably unnecessary, but feel free.

Thanks,
