Hi,
I have a problem when I'm trying to export a video file in Premiere Rush - I'm getting the following error:
This file requires the HEVC codec which is included with a Creative Cloud membership. To upgrade to a paid plan, go to: www.adobe.com/go/video
My OS is Windows 10 and I'm using Premiere Rush v2.6.
I have different types of video files in my project, and I've noticed that the above error occurs only when I have MOV files (from iPhone 8) in my project. I can play and edit these MOV files, but I get the error during export. On the other hand, projects containing MP4 files (from Android smartphone or a DJI drone) are exported without any issues. I've done MOV to MP4 conversion of my iPhone videos using VLC, but it did not help and the error persists.
Any suggestions on the solution to this problem?

Per suggestions I've found here over a year ago, I downgraded my Rush ver, to 1.5.54. By the way I have a Photo subscription(Lightroom & Photoshop AND a Rush subscription). That solved the problem for a day or so, then it came back. A chat with Adobe support today uncovered the following...apparently there's a "basic" version of Rush embedded in either Lightroom or Photoshop that conflicts with the "premium" version of Rush I pay for. Support suggested I log out of Creative Cloud and all other Adobe apps, restart pc. After doing that the "HEVC codec" error disappeared and all worked perfectly with ver. 1.5.54. I have not reinstalled the latest ver. of Rush to determine if it also will function properly. But...problem solved for now.

I have downgraded my Rush to the exact version you did and now it's not loading any of the media in the project at all. Any suggestions?

The ACTUAL correct answer is to download Handbrake and decode your videos in h.264.
Don't listen to him and please don't give Adobe any more money. They obviously don't give a damn about Rush anymore because they can't get monthly payments for it. You could also just pirate the normal Premiere. Hmu if you need help with that or anything else. 🙂
