You have posted in a thread related to a much older version where the whole UI was different.

So I've split your question out into its own thread - let us know if we got your title question correct.

The tooltip mentions customising the toc icon in HTML Help (CHM). I finally found a "HTML Help Icon" section in the TOC when you click on a toc entry and check the properties. But only for Book TOCs for unknown reasons (doesn't make any sense to me).

In Classic you did this in the output preset and there were far more options, including being able to select a custom icon file. I suppose they haven't made those features available because CHMs haven't been updated by MS in over 20 years.

You can customize the icons, but it may require a little detective work...

I discussed changing an icon in the output (the checkmark for dynamic content filtering) at 48:06 in my Dynamic Filtering webinar recording. You can use a similar technique to customize any other icons that you want to change out.

@Matt-Tech Comm Tools Your video looks like it's for HTML5 output, whereas the setting being discussed is for CHM output. I admit I didn't watch the whole thing though, just skipped around, so maybe I missed something.
