MS Access Record-Locking files

New Here ,
May 02, 2006 May 02, 2006
Hi all,

I am having some serious issues with Lock files that won't go away. I want to create a new project and then import boilerplate topics into this new project. When I try to import the HTML files from an existing project, RH goes through its little song and dance, but then it craps out on me and crashes The imported HTML files are in the file structure of my project, however, they are not showing in the Topics List or Project Manager.

When I delete the lock file, I am able to import the files one at a time from within the new project, however, once I close the project and then reopen it, the lock file is there and I'm hosed.

Any ideas? We have contacted Adobe/Macromedia support and no one seems to know how to help us.

Thank you,
Linda

What do you mean by Lock File? What version of RH are you using?

If X5, have you tried deleting the CPD and XPJ files?

From your Topic Title, I infer that you're working over a network. RH X5 cannot work properly in that environment.

Return control of your program to your local machine. Over and out.

Good luck,
Leon
