"Locking" chunks of HTML Code

New Here ,
Aug 05, 2009 Aug 05, 2009

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if there was a way to lock a chunk of HTML code so that when you switch into Design view RoboHelp wont edit it? I ask because I have this code block:

Original Code

But when I switch to design view and back again it messes it up, replaces <'s and >'s with their HTML equivalent

Changed Code

Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

Cheers

Tom

I am seeing one thing via an RSS feed and something else on the forum.

Neither make sense. Can you please take a look at your post and correct it?

Hi all

Peter, I think Tom is posting code on some odd site and just linking to it as opposed to inserting it into the post.

Tom, aside from just looking a bit odd in HTML view, does it cause things to break?

Cheers... Rick

Hi,

You shouldn't have to use the conditional comments. When a browser cannot load the object, it will execute the code between the object tags. What happens if you remove the conditional comment?

Greet,

Willam

Could you not put the code into a text field from the Insert menu? Does that work?

Sorry about the earlier misunderstanding, failed to spot those were hyperlinks.
