I got a new computer and installed RoboHelp 2019 Classic. When I create a CHM file and try to open it I get:

An error has occurred in the script on this page.

Line: 1593

Char: 6

Error: Expected ";"

Code: 0

URL: mk:@MSITStore:c:\ProMax\Help\en\ProMax.chm::/ehlpdhtm.js

Works fine on old computer RoboHelp 2019 ver 14.0.12.0

CHM from old computer opens fine on new computer. New computer RoboHelp 2019 ver 14.0.0.006

Maybe i need to update somehow?

Thanks

You're probably missing the antique CHM compiler exe - it no longer is shipped anymore. Search around the forum to find a link to a download site (even MS doesn't distribute it anymore).

Reinstalling Classic should reinstall the compiler. The issue could be not having the updates to your version. See if support can help you. See https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/enterprise-support.other.html#robohelp for your Adobe Support options. The email link tcssup@adobe.com is recommended as it reaches a team dedicated to Technical Communication Suite products including RoboHelp.

So they don't really seem to want to help me with 2019 (sent email to tcssup@adobe.com). I get it, I just can't update at the moment. If it is the compiler I wonder if i could just copy the necessary files from the "good" installation with 14.0.12 over to the "bad" installation. If it is a dll then I guess i would have to register that Not sure if that would work. I don't know which files it is unless it is "Compilation.dll"  or "CompiledHtmlFile.dll". I see those in the RoboHTML folder.

Was RH2019 bought as a subscription? If so, I think the installers and patches are accessible via your account. If it's just the HTMLHelp installer, DM me - I think I have a copy of the htmlhelp.exe installer kicking around.
