Responsive HTML5 Compilation Problem on RoboHelp2015 on Windows 10

I have recently upgraded my laptop to Windows 10 and installed RoboHelp 2015 on it. According to my IT department, this is the original release of RoboHelp 2015, and there are not patches or updates installed (we did not purchase this part of the package).

When I compile my project to Responsive HTML5, I am unable to open any of the topics in Chrome or Edge. If I expand the TOC and click a topic link, the topic briefly displays but then disappears; the TOC also collapses. Also, even though the project contains an index and glossary, they are not visible or displayed. Lastly, full-text search does not work.

Can someone help me understand what is broken - or how to figure out what's broken?

I'm not sure that any other topic in the forum covers this, so I'm asking. I apologize if there's an answer out there.

You don't have to purchase the updates. Unless you have Admin rights, just

get the IT guys to log in, and install the last update, it includes the

previous ones.

Go to File > Help to see the update option.

Hi there

Contrary to popular belief it seems, I do believe there were updates to 2015. So you should ensure the updates have been applied.

Additionally, 2015 is long in the tooth, so you really should consider upgrading. Upgrading brings along other patches and suchlike that make the output files continue to work as browsers evolve.

Cheers... Rick

My IT department says that we did not purchase updates or bug fixes, so I cannot install the updates.

Furthermore, the purchasing decisions are way above my position. They might be working on buying upgrades, but that doesn't help me today.

Other than installing the updates that I may not install, what can I do?

As I said you don't have to purchase the updates. When you buy 2015, any

updates are free. You must install them.

To be clear, I am talking about patches, not an upgrade to 2017

Peter,

When you say login, do you mean to Adobe?

We've had some problems with doing that, and IT gets upset with us.

No. I mean your IT guys need to log in to your PC as the patches have to be

installed by someone with admin rights.

I have admin rights and just installed the patch.

Will reply back if the problem is corrected.

Thank you!

It looks like the patch fixed the compiling problem.

Thank you, Peter and Rick, for your patience. I was nervous about installing the patch without my IT department's blessing. Once I had that, the installation fixed my problem.
