Hi psixus and welcome to the RH community.
Out of interest, can you post the output path you are using to publish to the server? Is it long or do you have spaces in your directory file names?

I can tell from the screen image you have posted that the path on the server starts with robohelp/robo/server/general/projects_fhpro/BAZAnew. What would help us is what follows that. Can you give us a clue as I suspect that something after the path above is causing your problem.

What I am saying is that the path you are using may either be too long or contains an invalid character. What I want you to do is copy and paste the path you are using to publish to the server inside this forum post.

Hi,
Do you have a topic in the directory projects_fhpro/BAZAnew/ with special characters, such as $, ë, (, ?, and so on? This looks like you have a topic with a filename that your webserver cannot read.

I guess the encoding should be the same as the encoding on the server. What I could find on Google told me that the strange characters you are seeing probably are the decoding of your Russian (Cyrillic) characters in the filename.
I suppose that the language of the server should be Russian, but since I only use latin characters, I can't say for sure. I think that the problem is with the Cyrillic characters, but another forum member may know for sure.
You can try to upload a dummy project without Cyrillic characters. If that works, rename the files with Cyrillic characters. If it breaks then, you'll at least know the problem.
Greet,
Willam

Hi folks
This thread really seems to be misplaced here in the FlashHelp forum category. It seems much better suited to the RoboEngine/RoboHelp Server category so I'm going to move it over there.
Most folks subscribe to threads via E-Mail. So if this is how you are operating, there should be no impact at all. You click the link and the thread appears regardless of forum it's in. If you navigate the web interface, you will now find the thread in the RoboEngine/RoboHelp Server category.
Thanks for your understanding... Rick ![]()

I think/hope? you can set non standard characters, but that will probably involve some playing around with the server settings. I found a lot of topics on Google searching for 'Tomcat 6 character encoding', so you may want to search around a bit. You can start by this article: http://wiki.apache.org/tomcat/FAQ/CharacterEncoding in the tomcat documentation, but I'm afraid this is as far as I can help you.
Succes, greets,
Willam
