Spark Blog Post

New Here ,
Mar 23, 2024 Mar 23, 2024

Hello!

I have been using spark to make a monthly newsletter for work.

It is unlisted so I figure only people with the link should be able to view it but it has a surprising amount of views.

Is there any way to chek & make sure that only people with the link can see my posts?

Thanks,

Eve

Hello Eve!

It's great that you're using Spark for your newsletter. To ensure that only people with the link can view your posts and to check the settings, follow these steps:

1. Check Link Settings

Adobe Spark allows you to control the visibility of your projects. Here’s how you can make sure your link is set to "Unlisted":

  1. Open Adobe Spark and navigate to your project.
  2. Click on the "Share" button (usually located at the top right corner).
3. In the sharing options, look for "Publish Options" or "Link Settings".
  4. Ensure that your project is set to "Unlisted". This means that only people with the link can view it.

2. Check Analytics

To understand why your newsletter has a surprising number of views, you can check the analytics provided by Adobe Spark:

  1. Open your project in Adobe Spark.
  2. Go to the "Share" menu and find the option for "View Insights" or "Analytics".
  3. Here you can see detailed information about how many times your project has been viewed and possibly where the views are coming from.

3. Adjust Permissions

If you want to ensure that only specific people can view your project, you might consider sharing it in a more controlled manner:

  1. Use Email Invitations: Instead of sharing a public link, invite specific people via email. This adds a layer of control.
  2. Password Protection: Check if Adobe Spark offers password protection for links. This way, only those with both the link and the password can access the newsletter.

4. Review Sharing Practices

Consider reviewing how you’re sharing the link. If the link is being forwarded or posted in places you’re not aware of, it could explain the higher number of views.

Following these steps will help you ensure that your Adobe Spark newsletter is accessible only to those with the link and give you a better understanding of your viewership. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask!
