Yes, they announced that about a month ago.

I did find on the Adobe Firefly Help pages that they are now attaching "Content Credentials" to Generative AI work.
Content Credentials (adobe.com)
The prohibition against Commercial Use of images generated by the Beta version is specified in the first paragraph of the Adobe Generative AI T&C's
Adobe Generative AI Additional Terms (en_US)

There is a released version, which no longer automatically inserts an Adobe logo into the image. There is also a newer version with even more fun features in Beta. I assume that the new Beta version doesn't allow commercial use, but the released version definitely does.

I just tried it out. There are no watermarks, so it's possible results can be used commercially. Unfortunately, I clicked through to the new Firefly Model 2 without giving the terms of use a read-through. But I did find this:

https://helpx.adobe.com/firefly/using/whats-new/2024.html

where there is nothing I could see noting that the results can't be used commercially.

As I said earlier, there are 2 versions of Adobe Firefly in use right now: the fully released version which has no restrictions on commercial use of images generated, and a newer Beta version, which does have restrictions...

There are two version as far as I can tell. The released version and Firefly Model 2, which is in beta (and definitely shows improvements).

Firefly is out of beta. Period. For the moment it's use is still free, but later there will be a credits based system, where you get allocated credits according to some parameters and you can acquire more credits if needed.

See @Jill_C's post. They do say images can't be used if created in the beta version.

Firefly is out of beta. Firefly will be continiously expanded. It may be that that part is shown with your Creative Cloud.

If you use the commercial version of Firefly, you are good. If you use the beta version, you aren't, except if the beta version explicitly gives you the right. If it isn't marked as beta, it is not beta. Your picture shows the commercial Firefly, free to use until the end of the month.

"If it isn't marked as beta" - you mean a watermark in the image ..?

Does it cost money from November?

By @oleschwander

I mean the instance of Firefly you use. And yes, it will cost money, but a certain number of credits are included in your subscription. If I'm correct, you'll have 1000 (Firefly) credits/month if you have a Creative Cloud all apps subscription. Other subscriptions will have different credits, and there is a specific Firefly subscription. Check the subscriptions, they details are published.
