How can I submit blurry (bokeh) background images so that they get approved? Which category do they belong to?

To those of you who submit blurry background images...which category to you assign them to? There is no such category as background images...

And I guess the main reason why my images got rejected (because they were non conform?) is because they were all blurry, which was of course intended.

Thanks.

No, as far as I know you can't use the Fotolia supplier portal if you have registered as a supplier via Adobe Stock. Fotolia does not accept any new registrations as a supplier anymore, only via Adobe Stock. Only vendors who have registered with Fotolia before the acquisition of Fotolia by Adobe can use both portals.

If you continue to submit the blurry photos and get rejected, the question is why do you continue doing so? You will not convince Adobe to sell them if they simply do not. JH

Well, that answer is not helpful at all!

There are tons of similar photos already up and I'd like to know why mine were rejected as 'non conform' (not because of quality issues!) and in which category they belong!

I think Background images belongs to the category "graphic elements". In the upload dialog at Fotolia you can see that you can choose "graphic elements" and than an under category "backgrounds".

So I think "graphic elements" is also the correct category in the AdobeStock upload dialog.

As for the refusal because of "non conform" there could be other reasons, but this can only be judged when we see some of the pictures.

Can I use the upload tool from fotolia when I was never registered there and have been only using Adobe Stock so far? Where can i find it? I get always redirected to Adobe Stock...

Yeah, I was assuming that Fotolia has/had some categories for these kind of images. When I look at similar images at Adobe Stock (see: https://stock.adobe.com/de/search?load_type=search&native_visual_search=&similar_content_id=&k=bokeh...) they are assigned to categories I can't chose in the Adobe Stock contributor tool...

I don't think the category is always so important for accepting the picture. It just has to fit the picture. As you can see in your linked search, there are also backgrounds in the category "Christmas" or "Road Traffic".

It is also important to mention this in the title of the picture and the key words.

If you can't find the other categories listed on Adobe Stock, there are no subcategories like Fotolia on the Adobe Stock site, so you can be sure that these providers have uploaded their pictures via Fotolia.

I think, you could save yourself a lot of headaches and work if you show some sample pictures here, because not always "non conform" means that there could not be other reasons like e. g. from a technical point of view.
