Hi! I was wondering how to make money selling my uploaded photos on Adobe Stock. I got 4 Cloudscape photos that were accepted. From there, how does my the selling process and making money from my uploaded photos work?
First, when assets have been accepted, they are offered for customers to be sold. Each time a customer selects your asset, you will get a percentage.
Second, after 25$ worth of sales you can ask to get paid.
Third, by offering a lot (400-4000) high quality assets, you improve your chance to make many sales.
If you search for "cloudscape" in Adobe Stock there are 1.5 million photos in the database. Do not expect to sell any of your cloudscape photos. Do some research. Find subjects where the search results are under 250 thousand and then photograph these subjects. Make profesional, interesting photos that stand out above the rest.
Also, pay great attention to marketing your images in the context of stock. Choose subject and keywords after extensive research, and audience consideration.
You won't get rich quick with stock photography. But with hard work & dedication you can build up a good portfolio of 6,000 + images and earn a nice side income from it. Pay attention to what's trending and give customers what they want.
Documentary film makers rely heavily on stock images and video for their projects. With that in mind, be creative and look for lucrative subjects to photograph that cover a wide range of different topics.
Avoid low % sellers: e.g. sunsets, clouds, plants & pets. Adobe Stock already have plenty of those.
