Dear Adobe Stock Contributor Community, I hope this message finds you well. I am seeking clarification on a specific matter and would appreciate your assistance. Until now, I have been using Midjourney to create AI-generated images for submission to my Adobe Stock Contributor account. Last month, I purchased a ChatGPT Plus subscription and created vector graphics. When I inquired with ChatGPT about uploading these vectors to Adobe Stock and Freepik, I received confirmation that I could do so. However, I was also advised to verify whether there are any policies in place regarding this matter. Therefore, I would like to seek guidance from the senior members of this community: Can I upload the vectors I created using ChatGPT to Adobe Stock? Thank you for your help! Best regards, Md Shahidul Islam

To be honest, I don't know much about ChatGPT Plus or Freepik.  I've never used them.

Your #1 concern is that you have 100% ownership to assets you create there so you can legally sell your work on Stock for commercial use. If there's any question about ownership later, you'll have to prove it.  All of this covered in detail within your Stock Contributor User Guide & Contributor Terms of Agreement. When in doubt, don't submit.

Thank you so much Nancy

now chat GPT answer this -

No, you cannot legally sell or use images created by ChatGPT or DALL-E for commercial purposes such as on stock photo sites. According to OpenAI's terms of service, while you have the right to use the content (including images) you generate for personal, business, or professional use, you cannot claim exclusive ownership or sell the outputs, as OpenAI retains the rights to the AI-generated outputs.

For commercial use on stock websites, you'll need to ensure you have full ownership or licensing rights over the images, which isn't the case with AI-generated content unless specifically stated otherwise in OpenAI’s policies.

You can still use the images in various other projects under certain conditions, but not in a way that conflicts with these terms. Always review and follow the terms of service of both OpenAI and any stock photo platforms you plan to use.

Crisis averted!  At least you know you can't submit them to Stock.

Whew. And now you know. You mentioned that ChatGPT itself said it was OK to use results commercially. Obviously, ChaptGPT often doesn't know what it's talking about.

I am sorry, ChatGPT initially said it would be possible. When I copied the link provided by Nancy and asked the question again ChatGPT, now ChatGPT is saying it’s not possible. I sincerely apologize for causing confusion.

Does ChatGPT have a page where the Terms & Conditions are actually spelled out, as opposed to depending on ChatGPT itself?
