Post 2 of 2 critique for intellectual property issues

New Here ,
Mar 11, 2025 Mar 11, 2025

I uploaded a selection of photos yesterday, and the majority of them were rejected. Some were quality, and some were intellectual property. While frustrated, I am new to stock contributions and want to understand, learn, grow, and succeed. Can you please give me input on the pictures I have attached? This group was rejected because of intellectual property.untitled--30.jpguntitled--29.jpgParis Skyline.jpguntitled-3999.jpg

The Louvre Pyramid is protected by copyright and may not be used for commercial purposes. The Bar needs a property release from the owner.

I can understand the Louvre and the street scene/s (barber and french bar). Do you have insight into the silhouetted fishing man and the Baltimore City Skyline? With the skyline, do you think it is simply as easy as cropping the Marrioot out (even though it is not the focus of the photo)

Yes, the logo on the truck and the Marriott sign need to be removed. When it comes to people, if the person IN the photo could conceivably recognize themselves, Adobe requires a release.

Once again, I appreciate your insight. I can make those adjustments. Do you mind taking a look at the "quality of photo" post I made? I would be curious to what you see with those. https://community.adobe.com/t5/stock-contributors-discussions/post-1-of-2-for-critique-or-insight-to...

It's hard to tell about the fishing man because of the resolution - but I think there's a logo visible on the rod and the reel ..?

The fisherman would definitely be able to recognize himself in these images, therefore a model release is required.

Of course - but the OP says 'intellectual property' so I assumed there is a model release ...

Read the above posts - there was no model release. But it looks like that image might also have quality issues - it's too low res to properly evaluate here...

Check the IP guidance: https://helpx.adobe.com/stock/contributor/help/ip-guidelines.html.

The pyramide at the Louvre is an absolute no-go. That's copyright of architect Ming Pei. He died 6 years ago. You will need to wait only 64 years to be able to publish that picture for commercial use.

Modern buildings are all protected by copyright.

In addition, all of the photos have lighting and/or color issues.

Also, work on composition. The fisherman is too far right and is looking out of the photo.
Crop down to improve the composition.

Hi @GBS.Images ,

All the elements in the first image are out of focus. The sea has motion blur, the man and the bird are out of focus. I understand you wanted to include the bird and the man, but at least one needed to be in focus. Also the photo is under exposed and the white balance is out. In addition, there is a halo and a color fringing around the man. The same is true for the second image.

For the third image, your focus was on the entire structure. You need permit to market that commercially.

For the fourth image you need to remove all the texts and logos from the storefront.

You need to remove the logo from the truck. Also, I believe that photo has a blue tint.

This last image is noisy and underexposed. This comes across as a private property needing IP permit.

You need to zoom in on your images at between 100 and 200% to identify issues. You also need to review the Stock Contributor Learn and Support for a better insight of what Adobe is looking for. Also, revise about Property release, making sure to read all the linked information.

Here are also some listed information to consider when submitting your files.

Best wishes

Jacquelin

Le bar du caveau is an ip violation. The fisher needs a model release.
